OOC: Haven't used formation in 5ever lol
BIC: Another night, another third shift spent guarding the Caldecott tunnel. The last time Blaise Gibson checked, it was three of four o'clock in the morning. He liked this time especially since it was the most quiet. Any other time, noises traveling from the highway and the inner sounds coming from the camp. No, this was his quiet time just to stare out into nothing and wait for any danger that would arise.
It had been a little boring since a few years back with Percy Jackson and that whole band of fantastic heroes so that was the only down side. From time to time, there has been a couple of monster attacks, but other than that, not much of nothing.
Dressed in his Roman attire with his gladius at his side and his pugio on his left, Blaise was prepared.

| Brayan should have probably put a little bit more effort into guard duty then he was, but focus wasn't exactly his specialty. He'd risen to the rank of optio through his brains, not because he was a particularly good guard. He actually was a pretty bad guard. For example, on this third shift night Brayan was reading a book on carbon dating from dental remains and chewing on a piece of long grass that he has pulled out of the ground by the end of the tunnel.
Brayan wasn't one for totally breaking any rules though. He was wearing the correct attire and his sword was strapped to his side. He was walking his patrol routes like he was supposed to. He wasn't necessarily paying attention or actually doing his patrol, but he at least looked like he cared, at least a little bit anyway.
Brayan was whistling as he read, but it slowly turned into him reading out loud in Spanish, of course. As happened when he was learning something new, Brayan was being pulled more and more out of the world around him. The world where his body was without him was practically non-existant.

Blaise slowly turned to look at his follow guard, questioning why he was reading and not being completely alert like he was supposed to be. It didn't make sense to him. Why allow yourself to be signed up for third shift guard duty if you were just going to end up not paying full attention. Instead of criticizing his fellow legionnaire out loud, he was mentally cursing him out. He did however, loudly clear his throat and stiffen his stance.
"Quiet night." The son of Somnus said loud enough for him to here. "A little too quiet...

| In all honesty, Brayan detested guard duty, especially at night like this. His brain didn't do silence well and he was particularly bothered by the silence from the nearby freeway. It was a lot easier to get caught up in learning then to listen to the silence. Anyway, if it's silent, that means that nothing is going wrong. At least, probably, anyway. "Quiet night. A little too quiet..." Brayan's co-guard's voice broke into his silence."Yeah, uhuh." Brauan said, still detached, but he could feel himself being pulled back into the real world around him. Brayan didn't look up at all, but he was now aware of every sound around him. He felt the hair on the back of his neck stand up. Brayan turned to his co-guard's. He didn't look up from his book, but he said,
"This feels like one of those Star Wars 'I have a bad feelings about this' moments."
